My Sushi Recipe

Last week, my mom and I were on the supermarket to buy some foods and groceries. We dropped by a department and saw some nori sheets. Ahh, I miss nori. The last time I made one, I thought of sharing it to you. :) So, here it is. :)

Prepare:
Nori sheets
Crab meat (imitation)
Ripe mango (julienne cut)
Cucumber (julienne cut)
Wasabi paste
Japanese Rice
Mirin

Here's How:
Cook the Japanese rice just like you're cooking an ordinary rice. Place in a mixing bowl and add Mirin (amount of Mirin depends on you :D). Set aside. Lay one piece of nori sheet on the sushi mat/rolling mat. Make sure that the shiny side is on the bottom. I didn't know how to illustrate it :P. Put a small amount of japanese rice or about 1/2 cup of it. Spread the rice over the nori sheets with the use of fork, or even with your hands. Place a slice of crab meat, a slice of mango, and a slice of cucumber, and put a lilttle wasabi paste. Begin to roll your sushi starting at the side close to you, rolling it away from you. Don't roll the nori together with the mat. Squeeze the sushi and prepare to cut it into 9-10 pieces. :)

enjoy!

Microwave ovens not only saves time and clean-up, but it is energy efficient but do not brown or bake food in the way conventional ovens do. The good thing about microwaves are it retain nutrients and maintain better flavor in many foods. Try this one and see for yourself. :)

It is where Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo had their wedding pictorial. It was the famous Laiya beach, not that far from our home. Did you know that Laiya is one of the best beachfronts in Batangas?

Tips for a Healthy Diet

Get off the diet treadmill and get real with this no-nonsense guide to good eating habits. :)

First, if you're not taking breakfast, change this habit. Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. After 12-14 hours without food, your blood sugar is low, you're hungry and your brain, and the rest of your body, needs refueling to start the day. Eat something for a few few mornings to get accustomed to the experience.

Second, try new fruit or vegetable every week. Concentrate on dark-green or richly coloured produce, which is rich in vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals that are linked to lower risk of cancer and heart disease and to slow down the aging process.
