Filipino Style Macaroni Salad

Having macaroni salad for dinner is one of the necessity in the tables of Filipinos for special occasions. So here's a very simple salad recipe I've learned recently.

Prepare:
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/2 cup all purpose cream
1/2 kg deboned roasted chicken
1/2 kg cooked macaroni
salt and black pepper to taste.

News!

All carbohydrates are not created equal. The glycemic index is a ranking given to carbohydrate foods based on how quickly they are digested and how quickly they raise blood glucase levels. Low-glycemic index carbohydrates tend to make alone sugar rise more slowly and keep you feeling full longer.

Tips for a Healthy Diet

Get off the diet treadmill and get real with this no-nonsense guide to good eating habits. :)

First, if you're not taking breakfast, change this habit. Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. After 12-14 hours without food, your blood sugar is low, you're hungry and your brain, and the rest of your body, needs refueling to start the day. Eat something for a few few mornings to get accustomed to the experience.

Second, try new fruit or vegetable every week. Concentrate on dark-green or richly coloured produce, which is rich in vitamins, minerals and plant chemicals that are linked to lower risk of cancer and heart disease and to slow down the aging process.

Eat your BREAKFAST!

A healthy and nutritious breakfast is a perfect way to jump start your morning and give you energy for your busy day! Study shows that you are more attentive and perform better at school or work after eating a healthy breakfast.

Breakfast is specially important for children, yet significant for adults. Kids who eat breakfast tend to do better on tests and have higher school attendance rates than those who don't.
