Prepare:
1/4 cup
kirsch brandy
1 can
cherry pie filling
, drained
2 baked 9inch
devils food cake
layer,cooled
3 cups
heavy cream
1/3 cup
sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon
vanilla
chocolate decoration
Here's How:
Stir kirsch into pie filling. Place one cake layer on
serving plate
.
Spoon
pie filling evenly over cake layer. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spread about 2 cups evenly over cherries. Top with second cake layer. Spread remaining whipped cream over top and sides of cake. Press
chocolate curls
onto sides of cake. Garnish top with chocolate trees or additional chocolate curls. Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
