Chocolate Cake With Peanut Butter Recipe
Prepare:
For the CAKE:
1 3/4 cups Devil's Food Cake Mix
2/3 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
For the TOPPING:
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoon milk or cream
1/2 cup chopped peanuts
Here's How:
Heat oven to 350F. Combine all cake ingredients in ungreased 8 or 9-inch square pan. Beat until well blended, about 1 minute. Spread batter evenly in pan. bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
In a small bowl, combine all topping ingredients except peanuts; blend well. Stir in peanuts. Immediately spread on warm cake. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 1-3 minutes until bubbly and light golden brown. (Watch carefully; mixture burns easily.) Serve warm and cool. Enjoy!
